Teaches electro-acoustic music.

Fredric Bergström was born in "Stöde", the north part of Sweden, in 1975. He is an autodidactic pianoplayer and he studied the electric bass from the age of 9. After a total missfailure in his education to be an electrician, he concidered to create music instead of shortcircuits. He started a period of composition studies at the age of 17 and that period lasted for about 8-9 years, the latter years at the School of Music and Music Education, Göteborg University.

Fredric Bergström composes both contemporary instrumental/choral music as well as electronic music/soundart. He is also a part of the deathjazz/noise musicgroup "LÄDER"(Leather) that consist of contemporary composers/musicians that plays loud improvised contemporary music. In addition to Läder he also plays on his hurdy-gurdy in the Swedish baroque-folkmusic ensemble Celadonensemblen. He has composed for/collaborated with ensembles as: Cikada(NO), Gageego!(SWE), Göteborgs Kammarsolister(SWE), KammarensembleN(SWE), Gothenburg Chamber Choir, Gothenburg Percussion Group(SWE), TheGothenburgCombo (SWE), NING(no) among others...

Now he is working as a freelance composer, soundartist, audio consultant, producer & programmer. He is also often involved as a sound/timbre director at live-electronic/ electroacoustic concerts. He work currently as a parttime teacher at the Gotland School of Composition, Visby, School of Theater and Music, Göteborg University, Hvitfeldska gymnasiet, Göteborg and at Nordjysk Musikkonservatorium, Aalborg(dk).
