Gotland School of Music Composition is a unique institution in the Nordic countries (and maybe in the world): it is a school devoted exclusively to music composition.
The school offers two programs:
Both programs are characterized by highly individualised teaching. This makes it possible for students with very diverse musical backgrounds to come and benefit from the school's curriculum: we have had punkrockers and former university students studying side by side with us. Some students have come from afar: Norway, Finland, USA and Bangladesh..
The faculty includes some of the most prominent educators and composers in Sweden.
